Press release on the Israeli regime's act of war agaisnt Iran
Press release from the Consulate General of I.R Iran in Hyderabad on the Israeli regime's act of war agaisnt Iran.
The Consulate General of Islamic Republic of Iran Hyderabad Press release (June 17. 2025) On June 13, 2025, the occupying Zionist regime committed a blatant violation of Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity through military attacks on multiple locations, including residential areas. These attacks resulted in significant civilian martyrdoms and injuries including women and children, constitute a grave breach of international law and norms (Article 2(4) of the UN Charter). The aggressive Zionist regime, with its nuclear arsenal and threats to use them against regional nations, has committed the most and alarming number of international law breaches since the UN's inception. In addition to documented atrocities and committing genocide in Gaza, the regime's aggression has expanded to Iran by attacks against Natanz nuclear site, assassination of nuclear scientists and chief military commanders in residential areas, along with their families. In the recent 4 days, Israeli regime deliberately targeted residential areas, Hakim Children Hospital, Farabi Hospital, ambulances, aid groups, and most recently, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting. Israeli regime also undermined the ongoing nuclear negotiations and diplomacy. According to Art. 8, the Rome Statute of the ICC (1998) targeting media facilities is considered a war crime and attack or threat against nuclear installations is a clear violation of international law, the Geneva Conventions (I & II additional protocols Art 56 and Art 15), and IAEA resolutions (1990 & 2009) for putting civilians and the environment at serious risk. In accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter, Iran reserves its legitimate and legal rights to respond properly to these aggressions, and on the basis of self-defense principle, Iranian military forces have launched “True Promise 3” operation. All justice-advocating UN member states and peace-making groups are expected to clearly condemn the criminal acts of aggression and take urgent collective measures to stop this reckless behavior, ensuring that attacks on nuclear sites—potentially catastrophic for the world—are not normalized.
