Iranian Film Screening in Hyderabad 2025

The three-day cultural event “Iranian Film Screening in Hyderabad 2025” was held on the evenings of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7–9 November 2025. Organized by the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Hyderabad in collaboration with Moving Images, the event took place in the presence of renowned Iranian director and writer Ms. Narges Abyar.

During the program, three acclaimed Iranian films were screened:

• When the Moon Was Full, written and directed by Ms. Narges Abyar
• The Situation of Mehdi, written and directed by Mr. Hadi Hejazifar
• A Cube of Sugar, directed by Mr. Reza Mirkarimi

The three films, representing different genres, were carefully selected to cater to diverse tastes and to introduce the new generation of Iranian filmmakers to Indian audiences. All three screenings received overwhelming appreciation and unprecedented attention from the Indian public. Due to the limited seating capacity of the cinema hall, invitations were extended primarily to prominent political, cultural, and social figures.
